The Terri Neve Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law charitable purposes. The specific purpose of this Corporation is primarily to raise funds for and educate the public in our fight against cancer. Additionally, this Corporation may engage in any activities that are reasonably related to or in furtherance of its stated charitable purposes, or in any other charitable activities.  

 

This Corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational

purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the "Code").

The Terri Neve Foundation was created in memory of Terri Neve who passed away from breast cancer in June 2013. She was an advocate for cancer research and education and often spoke at support groups and cancer treatment centers to help inspire others who were battling cancer. To further enhance her efforts and mission, The Terri Neve Foundation was formed exclusively for literary and scientific purposes and to receive contributions and pay them over to organizations that are described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, The Terri Neve Foundation's activities will primarily consist of raising funds and receiving contributions to benefit organizations who are dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and  providing, research, education, advocacy and service. Secondly, as Terri Neve was an English and Theater teacher for over 20 years, The Terri Neve Foundation will honor her by supporting and funding academic scholarships from elementary through graduate levels.

 

The Terri Neve Foundation is a newly formed charity.  The funds received through the entirety of the corporation’s activities will be used exclusively for the charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and will not be used for personal gains of any sort. The Terri Neve Foundation is run by volunteers who support the goals and ideals of the corporation. The directors and officers will not receive financial compensation.

For the purpose of fundraising, The Terri Neve Foundation may also be known as "Team Terri".
